Terms of use
These draft terms describe the experimental Loom.js website, workbench, and Chrome extension. Final terms require publisher and legal review before public availability.
Publisher identity, governing law, liability language, and the project’s software license remain unresolved.
1. The service
Loom.js Companion authenticates a user-initiated Loom session. The workbench then performs model requests directly with a short-lived credential. It can read or modify only projects the user explicitly selects or imports. Features are experimental and may change or be withdrawn.
2. Accounts and authority
You must be authorized to use the browser, provider account, project files, and model entitlement you connect. You are responsible for provider charges and for reviewing generated changes before accepting or distributing them. Do not share credentials or attempt to extract extension-owned authentication state.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to violate law, provider terms, intellectual-property rights, privacy, security, or the rights of another person. Do not bypass permissions, attack services, distribute malware, or use generated code without appropriate review. The publisher may disable access when reasonably necessary for security, compliance, or service integrity.
4. Third-party services
Chrome, the Chrome Web Store, OpenAI, ChatGPT, QuickJS, WebContainer, Pyodide, and any connected model or hosting service are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Loom.js is not produced, endorsed, or supported by Google or OpenAI. Availability of undocumented compatibility endpoints is not guaranteed.
5. Experimental status, warranty, and liability
The service is provided on an experimental, as-available basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. Generated output can be incorrect, insecure, incomplete, or destructive. Back up important projects and review every change. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded. Final warranty, liability cap, indemnity, governing-law, and dispute provisions must be approved for the publishing entity and target countries before release.
6. Changes and termination
Material changes will be posted with a revised date. You may stop using the service, remove authorization, and uninstall the extension at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive termination remain effective only as permitted by final applicable terms and law.
